After escaping to the country in Gisborne this year, The Block looks set for a rather charming return to the city next season.
While The Block Tree Change is still in full swing, the show’s 2023 location has already been leaked, with five houses snapped up in Melbourne’s Bayside.
While there’s still much to be revealed about The Block2023, here’s what we know so far.
Where is The Block 2023?
The next Block will be in Charming St, Hampton East in 2023.
Producers bought five classic brick homes on the street this year, at numbers 14 Charming St, 16 Charming St, 18 Charming St, 20 Charming St and 22 Charming St, for a total sum of $14.3m.

They’re mostly three or four-bedroom properties, aside from a two-bedder at number 16, with the blocks ranging from 575sqm to 703sqm.
Each of the houses lives up to its street name, retaining vintage charm that’s ripe for refurbishment with a little love and a lot of labour.
Blockheads previously transformed a row of Bayside homes in 2021, at Hampton cul-de-sac Bronte Court, which is only about 2km away.

When is The Block 2023 being filmed?
While the filming date hasn’t officially been confirmed, the 2023 contestant application form stipulates they must be available for a 10-12 week shoot from early March.
Who are the contestants on The Block 2023?
Applications are currently open for the next season of The Block, closing on October 17.
So while the next Block contestants are yet to be announced, it’s typically seven teams of two, with one from each state.

When will The Block auction be for 2023?
The Block auctions are usually around November.
When is The Block on TV in 2023?
Based on last year, we expect The Block 2023 will start next August.
Episodes usually air on Sundays at 7pm, and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 7.30pm.

How do you enter The Block 2023?
Applications are now open to be cast as a contestant in The Block 2023.
Budding Blockheads are advised to leave plenty of time to complete the application, which includes a questionnaire and specific photo and video requirements.
Applicants can only submit five photos, which must include three photos of your home and two of your team.
